Pforzheim School Plique A Jour Silver Enamel Clover Brooch diamond_necklace Age: c1880 Late VictorianDescription: Classic Pforzheim school brooch, the plique a jour (literally "let in the day") enamel is very hard to make and the design is a mix of German Jugendstil and French art nouveau. A very sweet and wearable pin. Its in the style of Heinrich Levinger but many jewellers were working in Pforzheim, Germany in these materials and in this style so we've not pinned it down to a maker.
