Lorenzo Picollo founded the winery in 1945. Today, Lorenzos son Ernesto takes care of the winemaking, and Ernestos son Gianlorenzo manages the vineyards. The vineyards lie mostly in Rovereto, with four additional acres in Tassarolo, which is used for the production of their basic Gavi. The soil of the region is a mix of sand and clay.
