Nearby town of Hastings, as well as Rye itself, has some lovely antique shops. One of the famous ones is called Robert's Rummage true Aladdin's cave. That's where this fine bone china cup came from, along with some other nick nacks, all of colour white. With those I painted a series of large still life pieces. The idea was to play
